Med Ball

Well the highlight of this week, and the past few was Med ball which took place on Thursday in the Pavillion (the pav to all the D4s among us). It was a blacktie affair with a splash of red obligatory. Despite several ideas involving surgery and the anatomy rooms I opted for a red bowtie and cumberband in the end. Cumberbands just don't fit properly without any cumber to hold them in place. After tucking away two dinners in a way Keith would be proud of and dancing like a sobre mess for several hours to a Beatles tribute band and a very retro DJ (your almost an old man when you graduate from med school) we retired to leggs on Leeson street where many were disappointed to find out it wasn't actually a strip joint as had been rumoured!

Hallowe'en week involved two fancy dress parties. The bone® ball and the Pat's monster ball. Does it count as dressing up when I dress as a mad scientist, or even a doctor?!! Gone are the days of lighting candles in the pub for on the failure of the electricity in the Big tree we were all ejected from the premises. I was amazed to find I still had my clothes on when entering back into the light! I guess the Northside's not as bad as they say it is........................!

So Saturday was the i audition. Went pretty well. Even more important however was the fact that Colm said I sounded good. That's a first!

Grrrrrr still haven't seen any dead bodies!
